How durable are the new dagger playboat kayaks? I took my kayak down a pretty rough river and got it banged up pretty bad and scratched. How hard would it be to put a hole in it?

What is a dagger crossfire kayak made out of? Does anyone know what a dagger crossfire kayak was made out of about 10 years ago? I've seen sites that say fiber glass but not sure if that's referring to the new ones or all of them?

What's the best way to go about painting my whitewater kayak? I just bought my first kayak (Dagger RPM Max) and breaking into the sport this summer, and that giant blue canvas is calling out for me to make it my own. Is there a certain kind of paint to use? Is it bad to paint it for any specific reason (like for skis there's a plastic outer layer, so I've always stayed away from painting them)? Anyone else painted their boat?

Dagger Redline Kayak? I have A redline & cant seem to get the foot rests position right.. If i put the rests in the position that feels right it feels a little tight & i get a dead leg after an hour but if i loosen them off i feel i cant use my legs to help me balance. Is there another better system or is the dead leg something that i will get used to ?

Dagger..Aransas Pass? Does anyone know if there is kayak access near Dagger, between Aransas Pass and Ingleside? Just wondering if there is public access by a county road or something near there that wouldn't more than a mile or so away. Dagger agent 6.2 kayak? I got an agent the other day and im really confused about the foot rests. they sent a bag with oval shaped discs which are differnt sizes and i think these work as the foot rests but im not sure how? can you help thanks chris

700$ What to do with it? I was supposed to recieve a new Hd-tv as a gift from my dad here in a few days but I'm starting to reconsider. I have a 360 which was alot of the reason I was wanting one but I'm wondering if I should put it to better uses besides a new television. I have no job right now and I'm desperately looking for one to last me until I start nursing school in january. I have wanted a ducati for the longest so I was thinking it could make a nice down payment on an older sports bike or something. Then again I could invest it into some kind of a stock and let it make money for me? I have also wanted a kayak for a while now and I live in a great spot for the sport and 700$ would let me pick up that brand new Dagger kayak in a heart-beat. I don't see the point of just putting it in the bank because it would just sit there and do nothing for me. My old tv is a P.O.S. but i'm thinking it would be a better investment of my time than to just sit around and play xbox until college. Thanks much people.

Has anyone tried shipping a kayak? I've just moved to Texas....there isn't really any whitewater down here, of course. I'd like to bring my boat and not have to rent one when I travel to other places. I have a rec boat(Dagger RPM Max). Has anyone shipped a kayak through the major airlines? What is the right kayak for me? I want to get a kayak to take down to the lake with my in the summer. I don't want a sea kayak but a nice one for someone with little experience. Should I get a 10 foot or a 12 foot kayak? I weigh 235 and I am 6'3". I can't fit in most kayaks I will use it on some slow floats in Missouri rivers. I will also use it for fishing. What are the pros and cons for both 10 foot and 12 foot kayaks. I have looked at 10 foot Ascend kayaks from Bass Pro Shop and 12 foot Dagger Axis from REI (It is a bit too pricey, but I love the cockpit). I wish I could find a new or used Dagger for cheaper.

I think I’m ready to buy my own, but since I’m still new to the sport I’m not sure what would be best for me. I’m 5’9”, 165 lbs and looking for something that can handle creeking and some whitewater. Money is somewhat of a concern but don’t want anything to cheap. I have been looking at the Dagger Mamba, Jackson Villain, and Liquid Logic Jefe. Are these good choices? If so which is the best? Kayak paddler weight question? Well my grandparents were going to get me a kayak for graduation but are kind of iffy about it because of the paddler weight. It is normally a 900 dollar kayak but I managed to find it on sale at a womens outdoors web site for 630$. I am a male and my grandmom thinks it may be a womens kayak or something but I am sure there is no such thing. It says the paddler weight is like 120-190 lbs and I weigh in at about 170-175 so should I be alright with that? I mean is it going to be sitting to low in the water enough to decrease performance or anything? I live right off of a big creek that alot of people kayak and float down all the time. It has its tougher areas but any begginer could handle it fine. So I came to this kayak as it seems I could do all of that on this kayak while having a good time. Ehh but the more I've looked I'm starting to wish I would have gone with the riot magnum. Help me choose a kayak? I'm interested in buying a kayak/playboat suitable for freestyle as well as the river (up to the magic grade 5) - it must be versatile enough to be efficient in both. If I had to choose, I'd probably prefer the river - so that's where it's primary strengths must lie. I'm about 5" 11' and weight about 75kg. What brand, length, shape boat should I go for. Question about kayak cockpit size? I'm thinking of buying a kayak & found a great website that has moderately used Daggers for as low as $125. Well it's an online deal so I can't sit in the Kayak to make sure it's the right size. It's the same model as my brother's (GT) so I know if I get the correct size, it will be a perfect fit. So my question is: When the cockpit size says 34" x 19", does that mean 34" is the absolute longest the measurement from your feet to your back (while sitting, or course) can be?

Best river running playboat kayak for small people? I am 100 lbs and 5 feet tall... I used to own a yellow dagger ID.. 6.8 I think... But it was the smallest in the dagger ID line... but It was so tippy I spent most my time rolling non stop.. I sold it and I want to buy another boat that is better.. I loved that it was light and I could portage easily.. but is there another boat thats just as light but is less tippy and more forgiving? I would like a cross between a river running and playboat... What are the pros and cons of getting a fullout playboat and use it to run the river as well?
