Where can I find cheap, good deal, discount, reduced, wholesale, used, inexpensive, sea kayak for sale, to buy? We are looking to buy a sea kayak somewhere in New England. We are going to vacation in Maine this summer so we could pick one up almost anywhere in up state New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont (maybe), New Hampshire or Maine on the way up or on the way back. We are also wondering what the best type or kind of kayaks would be good for beginners or inexperienced paddlers.

Fibreglassing over foam to build a boat - how to do it right? I am building a CAD model of a boat which I will be slicing up and have plywood spants cut from it by a laser cutter. I'll then assemble the plywood spants in 3D and fill the gaps with foam. Then I'll put fibreglass over everything. It's supposed to end up being a mix out of a jetski and a sea kayak, about 6 metres in length, powered by a 2 to 3 HP outboard motor, for commuting on a bay in southern NZ (salt water). Does anyone know how to prepare the foam for the fibreglass, or do I just lash it on and sand later, using filler till it's smooth? Maybe any links known to relevant sites? Cheers.

What kind of Sea Kayak should I get? The wife and I are going to take up kayaking next year. I'll most likely have to get plastic as I'm buying two. I live on the west coast of Scotland [Ayrshire] so would like it to be suitable for coastal exploration, perhaps open water crossing, ie Arran, single day fun and three/four day camping excursions. Of course I would also like to use it on Lochs for weekends too. Im 5.7 around [ahem] 14 stone, the wife is 5.6 size 12, [around 11 stone]. I think a Capella or Sea Cruiser may suit me but am not sure about the wife. Does anyone think the Point 65n 505 would be suitable? The price certainly is. Inflatable kayak? (Sea Eagle vs Qayak)? I'm interested in an inflatable kayak. For carrying space reasons, a rigid one is not an option. It's just for recreational lake use and not any river use. Has anyone here owned or tried the Qayak and Sea Eagle 330? They seem similar and are similarly priced. I see loads of testimonials for both. I know that neither of them will stand up to hard whitewater use and that's okay. If I ever get there, I'll resolve the transportation issue and invest in a good rigid boat. make ur skin fairer? last week ive been to my school camp for three days...the first day we did kayaking..in the sea water...the next day we did rock climbing...both days were so hot ...however..the first day when i did kayaking i used sun block...but the rock climbing day i didnt use any for the first feew hours coz i tot that i wun be in contact wif water...coz i noe water can make me look darker under the hot sun...so i realise the 2nd day the day i didnt use sun block might affected my skin..so i went into my dorm and used sun block..then wehn i get back home..my mom nag at me coz my skin is now darker than before..so can anyone help i wanted to make my skin fairer!!?? im now totally dark...im just 14..and im asian!!

whats the cheapsest way to test/check sea and fresh water quality in the UK? I want to start kayaking in the Cromarty firth(Scotland), but even though all reports say the water is good, it's looks dodgy to me, and i want to test it myself first. Whats the cheapest kit or even just chemicals needed and instructions how to use them please. Im not worried about pollution from any of the oil rigs out a few hundred metres out as i know a bit about how things works, but im more worried about getting serious gastric intestinal bugs form any possible leaking or overflow sewage. Saltwater fishing questions? I have a few questions about saltwater fishing. I usually go out on partyboats down around the keys, but, I want to try fishing the flats (by kayak). First, when fishing for redfish (using cut bait), do you add weight to the line or would you use a jighead with bait. What I mean is, do you use a sliding weight or tie the weight to the line, etc. How exactly do you use a "popper". My understanding is that you just jerk the line to make a popping noise. Is this correct? And how often do you pop it (every few feet or more)? And I have heard of "walking the dog" with top water plugs. What exactly is that and how is that done? Is it a side to side motion caused by just moving the pole? And last, for all of you experienced flats fisherman...what baits do you use to target sea trout, redfish, bonefish and permit. help with grammar please? Im filling in an application form and have long answers to each question, however my grammar is poor, please could someone put the correct grammar and punctiation in the following paragraphs, Two friends of mine named David and Jason had driven to the beach and had been kayaking in the river for a few hours, on return to the car they found that the car wheels had sunk in to the sand, and with a rising tide the car had to be removed from the area or it was in danger of being swept away by the sea. I received a phone call from David saying that he was unable to move his car and needed urgent help, he asked if I could assist them in getting his car out of the sand. I got in to my car and drove to the beach, once there I met with David and Jason and assessed the situation, I didn’t want to drive my car on to the beach in case my car also got stuck. At this point the tide was coming in fast and I estimated that we only had half before the water was up to where the car was. I ran to a nearby farm and asked the farmer if he could tow the car out with his tractor, thankfully he agreed and drove the tractor to where the car was. I then attached one end of a rope supplied by the farmer to the car and the other end to the tractor, the farmer then drove the tractor forward and pulled the car to safety. As we didn’t have much time to sit around I made a snap decision to run to the farm and ask for help, I felt I should be the one to run to the farm as David had been kayaking and was worn out, and Jason was suffering with a leg injury. I used my knowledge of the sea to estimate the time left to get the job done, and then quickly thought of how we were going to solve the problem. I was happy that I was able to help out friends in need.

why do i have red eye on my right eye for almost 3 weeks? just to tell that im using contact lenses.ive been just wondering i got red eye on my right eye for almost 3 weeks without recovering..is it sore eyes or wat? ive have several details of my activity which may you thinks thats the cause of it..well the first time.. ive got somewhat like ulcer on my back upper lit of my left eye..i went to the doctor and he gave me the medicine to apply on it. after it recovers a few days. the disease affected my right eye now..maybe it has some connection of sumthing. but this time its worst. it has ulcer on my upper lif of my right eye. and for 2 weeks it has been swollen like hell. until my frends for frightened by looking at it. and i went to doctor again..after 2 weeks of recovery. i had 3 days camp of my school. so the first dae of the camp we went to kayaking in the sea water...after that..my frend told me i had red eye on my right eye..so after 1 week later..the red eye faded away..and it came back 2 weeks or so..and i dont know what happen then!

Can you give me some good advice? My brothers girlfriend is ruining our whole familys relationship!!? My brother has been with his girlfriend for a little over 2 years. At first, none of us had a problem with her, but now she is like a parasite you can't get rid of. My brother has a fantastic job and used to make lots of money...still does, but with the economy it's not as good as it used to be. He is a really nice guy, nice to everyone he meets, always gives money to the needy, and will always be there if you need him. He's funny too. He deserves a nice girl...right? Well, the girl he's with is totally different. She slaps him, yells at him, bosses him around and tells him to do things for her. I have witnessed all of this myself and it makes me sick! I know if I try to say something, he'll get mad at me, and we have a pretty good relationship that I don't want to ruin. Another thing, she's also a slob!! We went on vacation one time where we rented a condo complete with a full kitchen. My family was there,(parents, siblings..) and of course his girlfriend came too. There were two bedrooms, one with the bathroom in it, and the other had the bathroom outside of it (if that makes sense). The three boys, plus the Girlfriend had to share that one bathroom. She used a towel for her body, one for her hair, and one for the floor!!! And at this place, you don't get new towels every day!! All her hair products were all on the sink and she never cleaned up after herself. We also bought water bottles, which were not cheap, and she helped herself...never asked once if she could have one. Another thing? She would get a new bottle everyday even if she didn't finish the one she had the previous day. We paid for food for her, the room she stayed in...a lot of things and not one 'thank you.' I could go on, and on, and on. We won this free kayak trip for TWO people..me and my brother..but the Girlfriend just had to come too. He completely ignored me the entire two hour trip. She would take her sweet time rowing her kayak while I was trying to hurry, because the leaders were giving lessons on the things that live in the sea. We had to slow down for her the whole time. Please settle a heated boyfriend/girlfriend argument!? Two people rent a kayak and paddle out to sea. After just 2 or 3 minutes person A's paddle snaps during a normal paddling stroke. No excess force or contact with anything other than water was experienced. How much, if any, blame should be attached to person A? a) None - person A is not at all at fault b) Some - it is unfortunate but that person was using the paddle and must share the blame c) All - it wasn't anyone else's fault, and blame must be attached to someone. If a brand new paddle costs $20, how much should person A pay the rental company? a) None b) $10 c) $20 Much appreciated, the more answers the better. I'd be interested in any legal response to question b. If this went to court, what would happen? The facts are as written above. Person A was paddling perfectly normally and this was witnessed. This got ugly!

Will a "Long-Wheelbase Pod Boat" cruise as calmly as any long boat? Sorry for the weird terms, but I believe I'm in the process of re-inventing the water vehicle here out of necessity to re-engineer around some crazy legislation. Here's the story: I need to find a way of building a twelve-meter boat without using all the material that's normally necessary for it so that I'll be allowed to do 10 knots inside a harbour here (strangely, only boats of that length are allowed to go that fast). It's supposed to be an economical commuter boat for two people, and I hope to power it with 2HP only. And here's the crazy idea: I'll take three kayaks, arrange them in a triangular footprint, 12 meters apart back to front, and 3 meters width-wise. That gives me a 12 meter, floating structure on the water without having to fill all of it with material. But my worry is: How would that cruise? We're talking half-meter seas at most, usually none. Would that wiggle and squeak and feel like going down a ski track on a mattress? And if so, would it matter? Thx!

How do you set the hook when using a float( click clacker) on the grass flats? Hi, i've been having alot of trouble as of late setting the hook with the click clacker bobber/float on the grass flats.I've tired the usual reaction hook set and pausing for 2,3 or 5 seconds. We prob hook about 15-20 fish amoungst the 3 of us but usually bring in about 2-3. Im an experienced (but not very good) angler, im just wondering if anyone with a little more experience under their belt has any tips about setting the hooks on reds and sea trout or any other tips for that matter. I fish the the Florida gulf coast (cedar key) form a kayak. thanks

How To Advice- Sea Eagle 330 Inflatable Kayak I just bought this inflatable kayak on a whim on eBay. Any advice or tips would be appreciated? To be used on local lakes around St Charles/St Louis MO and also the Mrs Millers River and also The Big Muddy if possible. Do I need an anchor?
