Has anyone ever participated in coastal sea kayaking tours with a naturalist pointing out wildlife? Enjoyable?

- It's great. I've done alot of Kayaking on the Florida Gulf Coast, it's quiet the water was like glass, you can get out and swim, you really feel like you're part of it and not just watching from a distance and it's a nice workout too. I've also gone with a guide in the Florida Keys which was also great. The guide knew alot and pointed out things I may have missed. As far as the New England coast I image the experience could be almost as good on a nice sunny day.
- Santa Barbara Channel Islands, California. Unbelievably beautiful there with so much wildlife to see. I also fish off kayaks off the coast of CA and Mexico for halibut and bass or whatever takes the line. Always enjoyable unless you sink like I did 3/4ths of a mile out to see with all your clothes and fishing gear in 54 degree water. It took over 45 minutes to swim in and I had mild hypothermia. I still laugh about it.
